Happy new beginnings! Your Finance team is pleased to report that we ended the year 2009 much better than we ever could have predicted last summer. In spite of the lousy economy, you stepped up in your giving to support the ongoing ministries and mission efforts of this active congregation. Through your faithful generosity and through careful cost cutting by our staff, we were able to cover our expenses and pay most of our apportionments. That’s a far cry from the deep hole we were looking down last summer.

Our revenues for church operations came to a total of $1,707,960 last year. So we are going to plan to spend no more than that during 2010 for our budgeted operating expenses. With the help of our committed staff, the finance committee will keep close watch over incoming contributions and make adjustments to our projected revenues as the year progresses..... [Read More]
