Adopt a Mission
THE NEED IN 2007
FUMC has adopted, and sponsors, forty-one ministries or programs as official missions of the church. Thirty of them are listed below because they are in need of financial and/or volunteer support.
- Most of these missions need volunteers.
- Most of these missions need money. They are self-funded, receiving no support from the church’s general operating budget.
- Without our support - through our time and resources - these missions cannot succeed in serving those in need.
THE CHALLENGE IN 2007
Many individual Sunday School classes or other small groups of FUMC are currently sponsoring a mission. If your class or group is one of those that has already stepped forward, thank you!
For those classes or groups that have not yet acted, the FUMC Missions Team challenges each Sunday School class and small church group to sponsor one or more of these FUMC missions, either through contributing money or volunteers or both.
Members of the Missions Team are available to provide information about these missions to your Sunday School class or group. Alternatively, you may get in touch with the contact person indicated for any mission of interest, or you may contact Sandy Wilder , Missions Team Leader, at swilder@texas.net. When you are ready to adopt one or more of these missions of your church, please contact Ann Teich.
