September	FUMC Weekly bulletin (Gift Wrap Fundraiser)	Compose an article for the weekly church bulletin. Send a draft to the preschool office for approval. After approval, email final article to appropriate church staff member. Contact special projects for specific details. Make sure article is published at least 2 weeks before the gift wrap deadline arrives.

Sept & Oct	FUMP Hallways	Publicize Annual Fund participants and goal of 100% participation on bulletin boards / posters
October	FUMP Newsletter	Compose and submit a brief article for the FUMP newsletter. The article should address your position on the board and how that area impacts and enriches FUMP. Your article is due by the 25^th of October. This article will be published in the November newsletter. Email submission to preschool@fumcaustini.org
January	FUMC Weekly bulletin (Music Fest)	Compose a music fest article in January / February weekly bulletin. Contact music fest coordinator/preschool office for details. Send a draft to the preschool office for approval. After approval, email final article to appropriate church staff member. Make sure article is published at least 3 weeks in advance of event.
May	FUMC Weekly bulletin (Graduates)	Publicize FUMP “graduates” in Beacon to be submitted on May date. Contact preschool office for listing of names.
Monthly	Bulletin Board	Create and maintain bulletin board outside preschool office. Publicize upcoming preschool and FUMC events as space permits.
August November February May	FUMC Beacon	All articles are due on the first of the months at left. Compose and submit article for the FUMC Beacon. The article is usually a few paragraphs expanding on what the preschool does. Some possible topics are parent involvement, curriculum, our teachers and thanks to the church. You can use excerpts from the parent handbook and on our website. Photos of preschool children can be included with the article. To publish a child’s picture, confirm that we have parents’ permission, by checking the parent contact notebook in the preschool office. Submit a draft of the article to the preschool office for review prior to FUMC submission.
Monthly	Meetings	Attend board meetings and provide a status report (if any)
