First United Methodist Church of Austin’s distinctive downtown campus, located directly across from the Capitol’s West Entrance, includes our multipurpose Family Life Center on the corner 13th and Lavaca Streets, a venue with classrooms and gathering spaces of every size that is perfect for your next conference, meeting, or community event. Our facilities also include the historic Sanctuary and Chapel buildings located in the 1200 block of Lavaca Street. What makes our venue great for your next event? It's a welcoming, historic space in the heart of Austin, perfect for everything from sacred ceremonies to community gatherings.

Our prime downtown location at 1300 Lavaca offers an affordable event venue with one of the best views of the Capitol in Austin.

With more than 22,000 square feet of event space and rooms to accommodate large and small groups, we are the ideal venue to host a conference, fundraiser, concert, party, and more.

Budget-friendly venues in downtown Austin are hard to come by. Because we know and value the impact our community partners make, we offer other nonprofits a 25% discount on room rental. In addition to our already affordable pricing, we offer multi-day event discounts.

The addition of our newly renovated commercial kitchen is just the beginning of reimagining our space with the future in mind. We currently offer:
